The Studienförderfonds Siegen e. V. would like to encourage and support students with their studies, regardless of their origin and financial situation.
The goal is to promote students financially and, ideally, in their academic and personal development. We want to foster motivated talents - at the same time, they are to establish a direct contact with the regional enterprises during their studies.

In addition to financial support, the Studienförderfonds Siegen e. V. also provides offers which contribute to the personality development and career or job finding of the scholarship holders. This is the ideational support. It includes visits to cultural events, companies, specialist lectures, application training, business talks, excursions, scholarship meetings and the like.

The funding program for students consists of financial support and ideational support. Scholarships are awarded either on the basis of very good study performance (in the case of freshmen, due to very good school results) or because of financial need (scholarships of the Studienförderfonds Siegen e.V. only)

At present, students can be supported by two forms of scholarship. You can find more information in our flyer.

Please click on the respective logo for detailed information. You only need to apply once, even if you apply for both a performance-related scholarship and a social scholarship.

  • Deutschlandstipendium of the federal government, 300 € per month or rather 3,600 € per year

The funding amounts to 300 euros per month (ie 3,600 € / year). A higher funding amount is possible through the Deutschlandstipendium, in which privately received scholarship funds are subsidized in the ratio of 1:1 by the federal government.

  • Scholarship from the Studienförderfonds Siegen e.V., 250 per semester or € 2,500 per year, taking into account your personal financial situation

The scholarships of the Studienförderfonds amount in principle to 2,500 € per year. A share of the scholarship of 150,- € per month is awarded as study fee (in particular literature procurement, work materials or congress visits).
